Matt MillerCEO - Matt Miller

Matt assumed the role of CEO effective Oct, 2017. He has served as the COO for the past several years and has been instrumental in driving process and systems improvement across Firland. He is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the metals industry ranging from fabrication to primary steel making and large open die forge operations serving aerospace, commercial, oil and gas, nuclear and marine markets. He is a proven leader with a strong cross functional business education and work experience including Business Planning, Sales, Operations Planning, Capital Planning, Project Management, Asset Management and ERP Information Systems Planning including Finesse and Oracle Applications implementation, upgrades and ongoing enhancements

Specialties: Manufacturing Leadership; Supply Chain Management; Six Sigma Lean; Efficiency improvement; Information Systems implementation (Oracle, Finesse ERP, Intuitive ERP, Syteline ERP, others); Lean Manufacturing/7 Waste Improvements.

Don BlemCFO - Don Blem

Don served as the Firland CEO from 2013 to 2017 and now with his retirement plans for year end–he moves to the CFO role for Firland. He also served in a consulting advisory role to Firland for almost three years. He has headed up major manufacturing operations for electronics & healthcare equipment companies for more than 50 years and has provided strategic direction for many other companies in the Puget Sound region. He believes that the "Lean Manufacturing" and “Continuous Improvement Process” are vital to every organization—both on the floor and in the back office. He holds an EMBA from Columbia.

Elick AglerMaster Scheduling - Elick Agler

Elick took over the Master scheduling role in early 2017 and supports the on-time delivery commitments for all Jobs moving thru the Firland Workshop. He daily provides updates to Boeing and all other customers along with setting the priorities for all shop departments.

Mike Poelzer Manager Mill Operations and New Product Quoting and Technical Support - Mike Poelzer

Mike joined Firland in 2005 and assumed the role of Foreman in 2009. He is the primary contact for On-Time delivery and all production commitments. Mike has made great strides in our “continuous process improvement journey” here at Firland.

Sheri MarkOffice/Quality Systems Manager - Sheri Mark

Sheri is our front office manager and personally over-sees all POP activity and handles payroll and new products activity. She joined Firland in 1996. Sheri heads up our Certification and Audit activities and takes great pride in the review and validation of our Quality System processes.

Christopher BannisterQA Manager - Christopher Bannister

Christopher joined Firland in 2016 and comes with an extensive (25+ years) background in working in Boeing Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement for the aerospace industry. He is in charge of all CAPA projects and investigates all component failures and reports on all Quality Metrics.

Chris DixenPlanning and New products - Arlen (Chris) Dixen

Chris is our new product's planning manager and works on new product requirements and releases for all CMP and POP parts. He also plans all Work Orders for repeat CMP Work orders. Chris joined Firland in 2010.

Michael LeeMaterials Management - Michael Lee

Mike Lee joined Firland in 2013 and has taken over the implementation of our MRP upgrade project and Materials Management. Mike comes with some 20 years experience in related Materials Management activities.
