How to Apply
Step 1: Submit Letter of Intent
Please complete the Letter of Intent (LOI) form. The LOI form describes your project objectives, goals, and scope and gives basic information about your project budget. The LOI should be submitted by February 28th via our online form. Firland will acknowledge receipt of your LOI within one week by email and will assign a grant number. You must refer to your grant number in your grant application and in all future correspondence.
Step 2: Submit Grant Application
If your Letter of Intent is accepted by Firland, you will be invited to complete an on-line grant application and given an account name and password to access the application form.
- Application Deadline: March 31. (Grants received at other times may be reviewed on an individual case basis.)
- Review Date: Grants are reviewed by the Grants committee in Mid-April and approved by the Board of Directors in Early-May.
Step 3: Grant Awards
Award letters are sent by June 1, anticipating a July 1 start date for funding. Grant recipients may be required to accept any grant conditions via an on-line form as detailed in the award letter.
