Dr. Bijan Ghassemieh
Dr. Bijan Ghassemieh is a Pulmonary and Critical Care physician. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Washington, completed Internal Medicine residency at the University of Chicago, and Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship at the University of Washington. In addition to his clinical work at Northwest Hospital and Medical Center, he serves as a Clinical Instructor in the University of Washington Department of Medicine. He specializes in treating all forms of lung disease, but has a special interest in tuberculosis (TB). He developed his initial interest in TB while working internationally in Haiti prior to Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship. Currently, as a staff physician in the TB Control Program for Seattle and King County, he cares for patients with active and latent TB, and conducts epidemiologic research related to TB.
